I tend to start challenges and either get bored because they're too easy, or get discouraged because they're too complicated to keep track of. I was looking for a longer challenge but none of the ones I was finding were striking my fancy. So, I decided to combine the bits that appealed to be from several.
This challenge combines the 26 generation ABC Legacy, with the color requirements from Not So Berry,
and random rules for gameplay that I have enjoyed in other challenges.
Disclaimer: There is nothing original here. I am not claiming there is, nor am I stealing credit for anyone else's work. I am simply combining bits and pieces from existing challenges into one.

The Challenge -
-Play 26 generations of the family tree and get the Alphabet Legacy achievement.
Setting Up -
- Set lifespan to normal.
- Aging must be on.
- Create two people and set the relationship status with one another as married. At least one of the founders must have the aspiration "Successful Lineage," along with every heir afterward. Choose which one of them you're going to control. THIS IS GENERATION 1 AND SHOULD START THE ALPHABET WITH "A' NAME, COLOR, TRAITS, ETC...
- Decide how you will choose your heirs. (1st born, youngest child, etc)
- The money they have, is the money they start with. You must buy an empty lot and build a starter home.
- NO CHEATS
Rules -
- You may only control one sim. That sim is called the heir.
- You may not use anything that changes lifespan for the heir (no cheats, vampire stuff, potions etc)
- The new heir must be the previous heir’s child and you may not play the new heir until they reach young adult.
- All 'extra' chilren must move out when they reach young adult. The previous heir and spouse may stay until death. (extra children are not required)
- The heir may marry and move their spouse in.
- Each generation will keep the same Last Name, and live on the original family land. You may rebuild/upgrade the home as they are able to afford it.
- You can age up sims when you get the message it's almost their birthday.
- Cheats, mods or hacks that give you an advantage over a person who doesn't use them are not recommended.
- All children must be named with the LETTER and styled with the COLOR of their generation. You an decide the color, but you must keep track and not repeat them. To make this easier you can use for example Lilac for the L generation and Purple for the P generation.
- Optional - As each new heir ages up to young adult and becomes the active sim, have them redecorate and upgrade the house in their color.
- The Heir cannot have a job outside the home. (the spouse can)
- TO THE BEST OF YOUR ABILITY you must choose your heir's traits, skills etc to start with the same letter as their generation. (example: 1st gen = A, Art Lover & Artist) Remember, aspiration for all heirs MUST be Succesful Lineage.
- Try not to repeat colors, skills, traits etc... you will probably have to eventually, but try to use features you have not used before!

At the time of this writing, I have played breaking most of my own rules, to the 3rd generation. LOL Seems pretty casual, taking my time... if there is nothing for the letter, I'm using random rolls (example for my B toddler there was nothing, so random gave me 'fussy').
Built basement for Apollonia...cant use anything to change lifespan of heir, but once heir #2 takes over, I let my founder become a vampire and live in the basement. LOL She can know all her grandkids down the generations.
Started out only playing next heir to help him grab food as toddler. As child getting him to start homework so Mom can work on aspiration. Otherwise doing everything thru current heir to help them with skills. When I decided to make the founder a vampire, that sort of went out the window so I'm playing the heir, but also the founder to a certain extent as well.
